Charleston Home Cinemas is the result of a builder’s personal passion for properly designed and constructed home theaters. Unlike most “home theater” companies, we strive to provide you with a properly built space, not a long list of expensive equipment. We understand the principles of home theater construction and have the expertise to build it properly. Most importantly, we endeavor to provide these services at an affordable pricepoint.

Tim is the owner of PLATTCO. He is the guy that answers the phone and shows up at your doorstep.

A child of the 70’s, Tim went through school as computers were first being introduced. He remembers spending hours in front of a Radio Shack Model III computer writing a BASIC program to emulate the popular movie Wargames.

Tim continues his interest in computers and electronics in general. Not only can he continue to write code, he’s also fluent with a soldering iron. TIm has even constructed controllers to synchronize his Christmas lights to music.

Tim has spent 25 years in the construction industry and worked in about every trade. He was also a Fire Marshal for 10 years and a Building Official for 5 years. He is intimately familiar with the building code and has held every residential inspection certification offered by the International Code Council. He has taught classes on the building code to architects and contractors alike.

Tim now integrates his knowledge of construction with his passion for technology to complete unique projects of extraordinary complexity.
